APPOINTMENT INFORMATION

What happens during your first appointment?

Your first appointment usually takes between 45-60 minutes depending on the complexity of your problem.

We will discuss these 6 steps with you:

Step 1. Your medical background and problem history:

  • Referral information – Scans & reports etc.

Step 2. Discuss and note your clinical history.

Step 3. Perform a physical examination.

Step 4. Discuss the findings of the assessment, reports and investigations with you and arrive at a provisional diagnosis.

Step 5. We will then discuss a treatment and management plan which will include:

  • A “hands on” manual therapy treatment approach
  • Self-management strategies and home exercises to assist in  your recovery
  • Likely recovery and resolution timelines.

Step 6. Ongoing treatment will be discussed according to your progress.

  • Chronic/persistent problems may require more treatment and on-going management

At every stage we encourage you to ask questions to discuss and clarify anything in relation to your treatment and ongoing care.

Our aim is to get you back to your best as fast as possible!
